Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is pleased to offer the latest in state-of-the-art radiology services through our newly enhanced Radiology Department. Did you know that Sunnyview is the first hospital in Schenectady County to have a totally digital radiology department?
The mission of the Radiology Department is to provide the highest-quality, most accurate, most efficient, compassionate care to patients through the use of our state-of-the-art medical imaging equipment. Our staff remains committed to fulfilling this mission on a daily basis.
Located on the first floor near the main hospital entrance, the Radiology Department offers a variety of services, including:
- Routine X-ray
- DEXA scans (Bone Density Scans)
- Video swallows
- A new state-of-the-art picture archiving and communication system (PACS) that allows your physician to view your X-rays in his office seconds after they are taken, With reports to follow in a prompt timeframe.
All radiology tests require a prescription from your physician.
Sunnyview's Radiology Department offers patients several advantages, including:
- Certified, registered, well-trained and experienced staff (three technologists with more than 75 years of combined experience)

Office hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
DEXA scans are done by appointment.
X-ray can be scheduled or walk-in patients are always welcome.
Additionally, our new PACS system provides instantaneous images and prompt reports to referring physicians.
Sunnyview staff go out of their way to ensure that all patients are comfortable during their visits to our department.
We also have translation
services available for people of all languages and are adept at sign language
for patients who are hearing-impaired.
