Outpatient Stroke Program

Stroke patients can receive physical, occupational, and speech/language therapy as well as neuropsychological consultation in the same building. Prior to discharge from your inpatient stay, your therapists will coordinate with the outpatient neurological therapists to ensure you have a smooth transition to the next stage of your rehabilitation program. Time permitting, you will be able to meet your outpatient therapists prior to leaving the hospital.
An inpatient stay is not required to access the Outpatient Stroke Program. Any stroke survivor can benefit from our program. Consult with your primary care physician as to whether you are appropriate for this program. If they are unsure they can refer you to a Sunnyview physiatrist, a medical doctor specializing in rehabilitation, for further consultation.
